Floating the Dead Sea

Floating in the Dead Sea was an absolute blast!

We met these great guys from California the day before on the bus from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and
they were also on this tour so we all had a great time hanging out together.

The dead sea is the lowest point on earth, 417 meters below sea level. The quantity of water that evaporates from it in greater than that which flows into it resulting in the highest concentration of salt in the world...340grams per Liter of water. Nothing can live here hence the name. The high concentration of salt make you incredibly buoyant!!

You cannot sink and can lay on your back in the water and read a paper. If you get flipped over to your stomach it is very difficult to turn over and get standing again. We floated, played around and covered ourselves in mud like children.
